Before the introduction of Launcher, users faced a disjointed digital environment, hampering efficiency and occasionally leading to workflow bottlenecks.
The inherent need to jump between different platforms to access reports, datasources, and vital applications meant there was a frequent context switching, often leading to errors, overlooked data, and even user frustration.
Fragmented Experience: The absence of a centralized platform meant users had to maintain multiple touchpoints, each with its unique interface and navigation nuances. This fragmentation was not just a matter of inconvenience; it had tangible impacts on productivity and data consistency.
User Challenges: Beyond navigation hurdles, users grappled with maintaining consistency across datasets when working between different platforms. There was also the inherent challenge of keeping track of updates or changes in one system that might affect another.
The Need for Launcher: Given these challenges, it became evident that a solution was not just desirable but essential. A tool that could act as a single entry point, minimizing navigation overhead, and ensuring users had all resources in one unified space, was the need of the hour.

In the pursuit of a cohesive solution for our diverse user base, the brainstorming sessions played a crucial role in shaping the early concepts of "Launcher." With the participation of designers, developers, and stakeholders, these creative gatherings fostered collaboration and facilitated the exchange of innovative ideas, laying the groundwork for what would become a unified workflow entry point.
As the ideas from the brainstorming sessions began to crystallize, sketches and wireframes became the essential tools to visualize and explore the initial design possibilities of "Launcher."

Through an iterative process of sketching, discussions, and refinements, the team translated the abstract concepts into tangible design blueprints, providing a foundation for the development of the high-fidelity prototypes.
High Fidelity
In the subsequent stage, the refined wireframes evolved into high-fidelity prototypes. These prototypes encapsulated the detailed design, interactions, and user flow, bringing "Launcher" one step closer to reality. Using state-of-the-art prototyping tools, the design team crafted a dynamic representation of the product, allowing stakeholders and users to interact and provide feedback, ensuring alignment with user needs and expectations.
Usability Testing & Feedback
Once the high-fidelity prototypes were in place, they underwent rigorous usability testing. Engaging with a diverse set of users, from category managers to financial analysts, we garnered invaluable feedback and insights. This phase was vital in identifying potential usability issues, understanding areas of friction, and ensuring the intuitiveness of "Launcher." The feedback gathered was instrumental in refining the product further.

Before the introduction of "Launcher," our platform's user experience left considerable room for improvement, as evidenced by our System Usability Scale (SUS) score, which stood at a below-average score of 37. This score indicated challenges users faced and hinted at potential inefficiencies in their interactions with our platform.

However, with the integration of "Launcher," we witnessed a significant transformation in user experience. Post-launch, our platform's SUS score soared to an impressive average of 72. This notable jump not only showcases the positive impact "Launcher" had on usability but also emphasizes our commitment to continuously enhancing the user experience and meeting our users' evolving needs.
Armed with the feedback from usability testing, the design underwent multiple iterations. Each iteration aimed to enhance the user experience, rectify identified issues, and polish the design elements. This cyclical process of feedback and iteration ensured that "Launcher" was not only user-centric but also met the highest standards of design and usability.
